Global Configuration settings include:

• Enable Email Notifications Digest plug-in always checked (switched on) by default
  when checked, notification for:
  • All
    • Notification digest will be sent to all users in the system at specified date/time
    when unchecked, the

    • Notification digest will be sent to the users that belong to specific JIRA group only

  • Nobody

  •   Notification digest will not be sent to any user

    If an admin switches off digest emails, users will not be able to switch it on in their personal configuration settings:

Do not send empty digests
• When ND plug-in is enabled, the system will send the digest only when any updates are available
This option is always switched on

• Maximum number of updates per digest
  • Defines the maximum number of updates in JIRA after which the digest should be sent to users' emails

  • Default number = 150

    Note
    The system will send a digest email immediately once maximum number of updates is reached.

    
    

• Email Digest Schedule
  • Defines date and time at which digest will be sent to users' emails
  • Default values = 8 am, 7 pm Mon - Fri
