A: It depends on your Global or Personal configuration. Starting with Email Digest v3.0, you can customize your Instant Updates (default Jira notification emails) by issue events, by a user who can receive the emails or .

Also, you may turn off all default instant email notifications at Email Digest Global Configuration page or Personal Configuration page completely if needed.

     Previously, in Email Digest v1.x you were always receiving both: default Jira notifications and digestdigests in Email Digest v1.x. In v2.2, you can turn on/off default Jira notification emails in favor of digested notifications at Email Digest Global Configuration page if needed. You can turn off default Jira notification emails to receive email digests only.

Tip

You can turn on/off default Jira Notification emails by setting "Nobody" in "Instant Updates" and configure Issue Digest or/and Summary Digest to receive digests.

Select "All" in Issue Digest or/and Summary Digest to receive Email Notification Digests.


Q: How I can turn off default Jira notification emails and receive just a Summary Digest email?

A: 1. Select "Nobody" in "Instant Updates" at plug-in global or personal configuration and Jira will not send default email notifications.
     2. Select "All" in "Issue Digest" at global or personal configuration.
         Choose the preferred variant of receiving Summary Digest: by a maximum number of updates or bu a schedule.

Jira default notification scheme is schemes are turned off


Q: Why all my default Jira notification scheme is schemes are turned off for Jira Projects? (Jira Administration -> Projects -> Project -> Notifications page)

A: Email Notification Digest is  Jira notification schemes are turned off after installation by default. All notification schemes are managed by Email Digest add-on after installation.
     If some projects don't need to be managed by Email Notification Digest add-on than select this projects in "Ignored Projects" section and Jira will use the previous Jira notification scheme of that project.
