Email Notifications Digest add-on for JIRA groups JIRA email notifications and sends them as a digest at a scheduled date/time.


1. Quick Overview


  • Email Notifications Digest add-on for JIRA groups JIRA email notifications and send them as a digest at a scheduled date/time.
  • You can select when you would like to receive a digest and how many records it should contain.
  • You can turn on/off email digest for the whole JIRA instance or per user.
  • Each user has its own configuration of the digest and receives personal digest with the updates specifically for him/her.
  • You will receive the digest tin addition to regular emails to you can setup some rules in your favorite email client to separate them in different folders.


Integrations

Notification Digest is integrated with JIRA Service Desk.

All changes made in an issue in Service Desk project will be included in your digest.


2. Installation Guide

  1. Log into your JIRA instance as an admin.
  2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Atlassian Marketplace.The Manage add-ons screen loads.
  3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
  4. Locate Email Notifications Digest via search.The appropriate add-on version appears in the search results.
  5. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for Email Notifications Digest.You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Email Notification Digest begins to download.
  6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.
  7. Click Apply license.If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your JIRA instance.

3. Prerequisites

Please make sure you have the default JIRA email notification configured and turned on (JIRA Administration → System → Mail → Outgoing Mail page).

Email Notification Digest add-on uses the same email server configuration to send emails.

4. Admin/User Guide

Here are instructions on how to use Email Notification Digest add-on.

  • Admin Configuration

Open JIRA Administration → Add-ons → Email Notifications Digest page and click on Configure button menu to configure default global add-on settings.

It allows to change whether the plug-in is enabled, date period to send digest and maximum limit of the amount of records in it.

  • User Configuration

Open Profile → Email Digest menu to configure your personal digest settings

It allows to change whether the plug-in is enabled, date period to send digest, maximum limit of the amount of records in it and more.

  • Email Digest

You will receive digest email at a scheduled date/time if there is at least one update happened in JIRA where you are the watcher.

If there were no updates in JIRA then the digest email will not be sent.

  • License

Email Notification Digest will automatically let you know when the evaluation license is going to expire soon or the maintenance period is expired.
