A concept of a team is pretty straightforward in ActivityTimeline, which is essentially a group of people united into a single entity. Note, that teams inside ActivityTimeline do not relate to Jira teams as this feature was added much later than we had it inside ActivityTimeline.

Note: Only people with Admin or Manager user roles can access/create or edit teams in ActivityTimeline.

There are 2 types of Teams in ActivityTimeline: Classic and Functional (Dynamic). The difference behind these 2 teams is the way how they are formed and maintained
