Configure Story Points Conversion into Hours

In order to effectively utilize Workload Indicator, we recommend you to convert the story points estimation of the tasks into hours. The conversion is approximate but allows managers to see the overall and available capacity of the resource as well as generate ActivityTimeline Resource Reports.

Note: Estimates will still be displayed in Story Points on the issue tasks regardless if you configure the converion or not.

In order to configure a conversion factor go to Configuration→Projects→Click ‘Manage’ near the project:

After you set the conversion, system will start calculating the workload for this person in hours, based on the conversion factor you defined for that project, so if 1 Story Point is approximately 4 hours of work, 3sp = 12h, so in hours example Luke will be working 6 hours per day on that task:
