FindDuplicates app can be enabled or disabled on some Jira projects.

This includes quick search, instant suggestions, issue link dialog and potential duplicates panel.

If disabled on some project then users will not see the Find Duplicates functionality there.

 

Project Restrictions are managed by Jira Administrator at Find Duplicates app Configuration page.

To access Configuration page follow the steps:

  1. Go to Jira Administration > Add-ons > Manage add-ons > Find Duplicates

  2. Press Configure button

It is possible to enable Find Duplicates on all projects except selected ones:

    

 

And it is possible to disable Find Duplicates on all projects except selected ones:

    

 

Search within Project configuration SERVER/DC CLOUD

It is possible to configure Find Duplicates to always search for duplicates within the currently selected project only.

To access Configuration page follow the steps:

  1. Go to JIRA Administration > Add-ons > Manage add-ons > Find Duplicates

  2. Press Configure button

  3. Select checkbox "Always search for duplicates within the same project"

Users will not see duplicate issues from other than current project when this option is selected.

It is turned on by default in the Cloud version of the app.
